Portrait - Andrea Bianchi

It was between two fashion shows during men's fashion week that Andrea managed to free up some time to come see me for our portrait session for the brand. We've been following each other on Instagram for a long time, and I really enjoy watching Andrea's travels, which resonate well with the world of our Quiet Spaces. He has a visual aesthetic that I really like, blending city and nature, and he has a great sense of style. I'm delighted to meet him today and share this little interview with you.

Who are you, in three words ?

My name is Andrea, but many call me Andrew. Friends and family mean everything to me; I find it hard to be alone, although in recent years I've learned to do so. I realize more and more that I need it, perhaps because of the job I do. This is why I need to spend time away from everything and everyone. I work as a social media manager for a luxury e-commerce, but I used to be a model. I got tired of it too soon, but that's how I am. When something no longer amuses me, I quit. I always need to be stimulated and seek beauty in things. I'm almost compulsive about organizing vacations or weekends, from restaurants to places to visit, although lately, I've been trying to live more in the moment and plan less.

In 3 words: dreamer, touchy, and a bit of a protagonist.

A must-have item in your bag ?

I'm addicted to lip balm, I can never go without my toothbrush, my old Ray-Ban Wayfarer glasses, and my Moleskine agenda (despite being a social media manager with a digital planner, I can't do without the good old paper one for jotting down everything).

Last movie you saw ?

"Challengers" at the cinema, but I binge-watch teenage and generational TV series (I live a bit in nostalgia); the last one I watched was "Shameless".

Do you think cowboys can live in the city ?

Being a cowboy is a state of mind; each of us is a bit of a cowboy, some more than others. A free spirit who doesn't care about others' prejudices.

T-shirt or Shirt ?

Both, worn simultaneously.

Italia in one word ?

"Un gran casino" (A big mess), can I say that?

The soundtrack of your life ?

Battisti always. I love his delicate poetry and his melancholy at the same time. Especially: "I would like... I would not like... but if you want": I could listen to it endlessly.

Your icon.

Paul Newman, James Dean, and Brigitte Bardot.

What bores you ?

Doing nothing, I'm a very hyperactive person, so I can't stay idle for too long.

Your recurring dream.

To build a family and have lots of children.

What was your last meal ?

Gnocchi – strictly homemade.

Your quiet space.

My house on the French Riviera, Roquebrune Cap Martin – my quiet place in the world. When I want to spend a few happy days, I go to the sea. Seeing the sea makes me feel good, and especially here, I live on memories. I see myself in the future and feel good.

Your character in one world.

Dreamer.

To whom would you like to write a letter ?

To my grandmother, I wish I could have told her many more things.

A piece of art you want to steal.

Brâncuși's Maiastra.

Your drink.

London Mule.

Words you want to carve into a tree ?

C’est la vie.
