With our busy lives, we finally managed to schedule a meeting with Lorraine. She comes over to my place with her dog, Cosimo, for coffee and a quick photo session. Lorraine is a friend I met 14 years ago. She has lived in Paris, Los Angeles, and moved to Milan a few years ago, which is where we reconnected.
When I first told her about my Modern Cowboy Club idea, she immediately approved and supported me throughout the brand's creation. It's no surprise; she embodies for me that very cowboy woman—independent, dressed in vintage Levi's jeans found here and there, too big for her. At her place, there's a western hat on the wall; she sometimes wears a belt with a buffalo buckle. In her free time, she goes hiking in the mountains and escapes to deserted beaches in Greece during the summer, always with 3 or 4 books in her bag.
In short, my friend Lorraine is amazing, and I wanted to photograph her because the entire collection suits her perfectly.
